En Classe: 8 mars 2017

We've missed a few of these as we've done a few more simple classes!  Do you love Petit Nicholas??

Let's get back into the groove with Chapitre Sept!

En Classe!

  • Nous avons fini avec la lecture, Le Petit Nicholas
  • Avec le temps extra, nous avons lu La Lecture Supplémentaire tout ensemble.
Les Devoirs!
  • If we don't finish Lecture Supplémentaire in class, please finish answering the questions to both readings at home.
  • Questions de Vocabulaire. These are a handful of sentences from the book I use to help you write out sentences, to think about Chapitre Six Vocabulaire, and to review verbs.  It should be pretty easy!!
  • Faire, Pouvoir, Vouloir.  Again, it's a review!  It should be very easy!  If it's NOT easy to do, without help, you need to take some time and really study.  These verbs are super important.  :)
  • Chapitre Sept Vocabulaire.  Translate the vocabulary for Chapitre Sept, comme d'habitude.  :)  Be ready and comfortable with the different articles of clothing for next week, especially.
  • Les Couleurs packet.  It has colors and articles of clothing that the book doesn't necessarily cover.  :)
If you need help with verbs, try these videos!

It's cheesy, but here's a FAIRE song:

Another cheesy video for avoir; être; faire; aller:

I LOVE this one!!!

Pretty sure you NEED to watch this ALLER video:

For colors, this is cute... I'm going to use this with my cute French Ia students!

Oh, but we're not through!!
POUVOIR!!
VOUS POUVEZ REGARDER CET VIDÉO!

VOULOIR!  Vous êtes chanseuses!

Les couleurs, vous demandez?  On les a!!

In Class: 31 August 2016!

In class, we...

... reviewed je, tu, il, elle, on, nous, vous, ils, elles ...
... took two quizzes: être, aller ...
... practiced the alphabet and numbers ...
... practiced telling time (quelle heure est-il?) ...

HOMEWORK - Pick one activity for each of the five days.  Please don't try to get this all done in one day unless you absolutely must.  These activities are intended to keep information fresh in your mind- don't rob yourself of that opportunity.  :)

1) Worksheet - Telling time in French crossword.  :)  I included the answer key stapled on...  Struggle through and do everything you can!  Girls, work independently initially, then if you want to collaborate to get the answers before opening the answer key, great!  Take the opportunity to use the answer key to LEARN!  :)  If you have something you just don't get, bring it to class next week.

2) Take the feedback from your être and aller quizzes and review them, memorize them!  :)  You need this knowledge because we'll be adding in -er verbs (next week?)

3) Go to THIS YOUTUBE WEBSITE and practice greetings in French.  If you want extra help, GO TO THIS SONG.  :)

4) Practice your adjectives you learned in class.  Pay close attention to masculine/feminine/plural, and note how that affects the adjective!  :)

Next week, we hope to...
... review alphabet ...
... review telling time ...
... practice greetings ...
... learn -er verbs ...
... talked about people using adjectives and être ...
... copy and paste chapitre trois vocabulaire ...
... practice with "Qu'est-ce que c'est?" and chapitre trois vocabulaire ...
... practice conjugating ch. 3 -er verbs ...

GIRLS.

Next week, we will...
