En classe: 19 octobre 2016

We did so much last week!  Thanks for your hard work AND the extra 20 minutes, ha!  :)

Today, we hope to:

  • Check homework pages, plus Q&A
  • Practice numbers (1-20) together
  • Practice Chapitre Quatre vocabulaire together and create sentences.  :)
Homework for today:
  • Verbe + Infinitif (worksheet)
  • Practice with sentences (worksheet)
  • Watch THIS VIDEO about just how helpful Google Translate is!  :) :)  It's a great tool, but it won't hold you up as a crutch for long!  :)  I usually use it to find out noun gender.
(It's a light week!  You can thank the powers that be for the nasty cold that came my way, lol!  See you Wednesday!)

  1. Bonjour!
How do you add an ing ending to French words?

    1. Let's see if this answers your question... if you say "I am going," that's the same thing as "I go" in French... English has more than one present tense, French only has one. So "Je vais" says both. :) What are you trying to say? :)

  2. No that makes sense. I was working on the verbe + Infinitif work sheet and it said " we detest taking tests" and I thought there was a special of adding the ing

    1. I need to look at them!! :D I did see the email alert that you had tagged me on them. But I have to take care of "responsible" stuff before I do the fun stuff! :D Can you narrow down which one you like best??? Or do you want to be surprised? :D

  5. Bonjour
Can we just print&paste a picture of ourselves in our project? I could barely draw a cat let alone a self portrait.

    1. Bien sûr, of course! :) You could even piece something together (think: Truman Show)! :)

  6. Bonjour, again.
I have another question about our project, do I have to spell my middle name in French? Because I'm 99.99999999999% there is a French word for Grace.

    1. Yes ma'am, there is a word! It's "grâce." :) Gracious or Graceful is gracieux/gracieuse.
